Sherlock Holmes Five Orange Pips-book report

Have you read Sherlock Holmes before? If so you may want to read The Five Orange Pips by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
One day, John came to Holmes. John tells Holmes that his Uncle was killed after he got five orange pips. Before he was killed, he burnt some important looking papers. Also his father who got Uncle Elias’ money got five orange pips with a letter asking him to put the paper on the garden. Also he was killed. John Uncle Elias was a member in K. K. K in America. He ran away from K. K. K with their papers,
In this story, there is an organization called KKK. KKK is an organization of racists. They were white clothes and hat. They kill black man. There is still KKK but not as strong as before.
I recommend this book to people who have read Sherlock Holmes because if you read this one first you could think that Sherlock Holmes is boring.

The Tale of Two Cities-book report

Do you think you would like to read a love story which was happened in the time of French revolution? If so you may like to read A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
The Marquis family was a harsh cruel novel men land owners. Dr. Manette was put in to Bastille prison for 18 years. He gets reunited with his daughter Lucie. The Cruel family Marquis coach runs on a baby and kills the child. On the morning on Lucies marriage to Darnay who is a good French nobleman, Dr. Manette gets back to past because of Darnays words. Darnay gets a letter from servant and goes back to Paris which was during French revolution but he was caught because he was one of the Marquis families. Sydney goes to prison and changes clothes with Darnay and died for Darnay and Lucie who he loved.
I think Sydney is a stupid man. He died to make Lucie happy but I think that could make Lucie sadder.
I recommend this to people knows something about French revolution.

The Scarlet Letter-book report

Have you ever had public shame? Well, Hester did. If you are curious about this woman, you should read The Scarlet Letter by N.Hawthorne.
A beautiful young woman Hester wears letter A on her bosom and stands on scaffold to have shame for her sin. When she returns to jail Roger who was her husband comes and asks her to keep that he was her husband as a secret. Roger sees that priest got a letter A on his chest and thinks that he was Hester's child Pearl's father. Hester meets the priest, tell him the secret and asks him to go to England. After new governor’s election sermon, priest asks Hester and Pearl to come up to scaffold and admit his guilt. After that he dies. Roger also dies because he has no one to revenge.
After I read this book, I thought it is good to be punished as quickly as possible. The priest did not have the punishment and died suffering.
I recommend this book mostly to girl because this story is not a story that most of the boys would like.

The Whispering Knights-book report

Do you like fantasy-horror stories? If so you should read The Whispering Knights by Penelope Lively.
There were three children called William, Susie and Martha who made which's brew. Miss Hepplewhite appeared and told them about Morgan who used to live at the barn. Strange things happened since they made witch’s brew such as Susie got a trap cake and Mr. Steel’s new wife made the new motorway to go through the village where the children lived. Martha got under a spell and went to Mr. Steel's house. Two children went to Mr. Steel's house and took Martha to the church and showed cross to Mrs. Steel who were actually Morgan and she disappeared. They ran to stones which were called as the whispering knights with Morgan following. The stones fought her and won. Morgan was gone and everything got to normal.
My favorite part of this story is when Susie got a burning cake. She almost ate it. It was a bit disappointing when Martha knew it. I think it could be fun to trick my friends.
I recommend this book to everybody this book is fantastic.

Death of an Englishman-book report

Do you love reading? Do you read even if it is boring? If so you can read Death of an Englishman by Magdalen Nabb.
Before Christmas an English man who is illegal antique seller was killed by a shot from the back. Police asked Cipolla who first saw it to go to police station and Cipolla hung the rubbish bag next to lift. A girl who lived in the same flat heard two bangs. One of them was door closing. The police found out English man didn't pay Cipolla's wife. When maid was searching something in the rubbish bag, she shot herself by accident. Police found the gun and Marshal found out Cipolla killed him by accident.
I think Cipolla should be punished but as twice as smaller amount than other murderers. Cipolla did not mean to kill Englishman and he first didn't pay Cipolla's wife.
I don't recommend this book unless you like boring books. In my thought, this book is very boring.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde-book report

Do you like scientific horror stories? If so, you should read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde written by Robert Louis Stevenson.
Utterson learns that an evil looking man, Mr. Hyde walked on a girl and gave a cheque which was signed by Dr. Jekyll. When he sees Dr. Jekyll’s will, he thinks something is wrong because Dr Jekyll wants to inherit his money to Mr. Hyde. One night in London Mr. Hyde kills a man with a stick. Dr. Jekyll receives a letter from Mr. Hyde that he would not appear again but Utterson finds out that Mr. Hyde's hand writing is similar to Mr. Jekyll. Utterson finds that Mr. Lanyon is dead. He had a envelope for Utterson. Poole and Utterson goes into Jekyll’s study and finds Hyde's dead body. When Utterson reads Mr. Lanyon and Jekyll's note, he finds out that Jekyll used drug to separate bad and that bad one was Hyde.
I think if I can really make that drug, I wouldn't drink it. I think I would experiment to an animal or anything. I think Jekyll was a bit stupid to this.
I don't recommend this book to children who don't like horror. I don't think they could sleep well after reading this book.

Through the Lokking glass-book report

Have you read Alice and the Wonderland and thought it was good? If so you should Through the Looking-Glass by the same writer Lewis Carroll.
Alice goes into the looking-glass and strange things happen such as tiger-lily talks. Red queen from chess tells Alice that if she goes to the 8th square in a field which looks like a chess board, she becomes a queen. She wanted to be a queen so she starts to go. At Fourth Square she meets Tweedledum and Tweedledee. They told her a long poem about Walrus, Carpenter and Oysters. Then she meets the white queen. She tells Alice about backward life. She meets Humpty Dumpty at the sixth square. Finally she meets the white knight and the white knight tells her way to Eighth Square. There was a party for Alice but it was so noisy and crazy. Alice stops the party by pulling the table cloth and she wakes up shaking the red king which was actually a black kitten.
This entire story is about Alice's dream. I also has dream sometimes but it is not like Alice's I dream something realistic like going to school or playing soccer. I think Alice is lucky dreaming wonderful things.
I recommend this book to everyone. This book has wonderful stories.
